What is Paypal and why do I get transferred there when I choose to pay by credit card? TOP

When you choose to pay by credit/debit card, you will be automatically directed to the paypal secure website. You do not have to have a paypal account to make a card payment, paypal is just used as a 'secure payment gateway'.When you get transferred to the paypal site you can choose 2 options. Firstly, if you have a paypal account you sign in as normal and pay through your account. Secondly, if you don't have a paypal account you can choose to pay by credit card. You can safely enter your credit/debit card details to make a payment. There is no charge to you for this (I pay the charges!) and they do not store any of your details. It's quick, safe and easy!

I am looking for a vintage and antique mannequin. Can you let me know when you have new ones listed? TOP

Yes I can. On the 'Vintage and Antique' page I have added a mailing list facility. Just add your email address there and I will notify you when I add any vintage mannequins.

Will you combine postage costs for multiple purchases? TOP

Yes, I will always try to combine postage costs where possible. Sometimes it is not possible, due to the size of the box that packing the mannequins together will create. This is especially true of the female mannequins, where it is sometimes cheaper to send separately, rather than to pack together. Also there are limits on the size of packages for some countries, such as the US, Canada and Australia. For these countries I can combine costs for two female mannequins at a time. Please have a play with the postage calculator in your shopping cart to calculate different postage prices. Please do get in touch if you have any questions regarding postage.

How quickly will I receive my mannequin? TOP

All the 'Buy Now' mannequins are in stock and ready to be posted out straight away - no need to wait! Once you have placed your order I will post mannequins to the UK within 2 to 3 days. Mannequins posted worldwde will be posted within the week as I will need to arrange a suitable collection time for the courier. 'Made to Order' mannequins are bespoke and made to your specfications, so please allow 21 - 28 days delivery once your order has been placed.

The mannequin I would like to order is showing as 'sold'. How soon will it be back in stock again? TOP

The mannequins in the 'Buy Now' category are one of a kind. I only stock one of each design, as they are usually mannequins I have tailored to illustrate how a certain fabric might look once made up. Or ... I have seen a lovely fabric and just have to use it to make a mannequin. If you see a 'sold' mannequin you like and can't find the fabric in the 'Made to Order' category, then do get in touch - I may be able to source it for you.

Will my mannequin be the exact one shown in the pictures? TOP

The pattern placing on your mannequin may differ slightly from the one in the pictures. I will try to make it as similar as possible, especially the centre front panel. If you purchase a Beatrix Potter or Flower Fairies child mannequin, then the mannequin you will receive will be the one shown in the pictures.

Can you make a mannequin using a material of my choice? TOP

Yes, I can! Please get in touch if you have a fabric of your own you would like to have a mannequin covered in - maybe to match an existing colour scheme. The best types of fabric to use are medium weight, cotton or linen fabrics - very thin fabrics would not produce the best result. Pretty much all the drape fabrics in the Laura Ashley range are perfect, so you could use that as a guide.

Will you recover vintage mannequins? TOP

At present, this is not a service I am able to offer. Please love and display your vintage mannequin, warts and all! Her 'war wounds' mark her out as a genuinelly vintage item and help to tell the story of her long life.

Is the mannequin cover removable? TOP

No, the cover is not designed to be removed. As my mannequins are designed to reflect vintage tailoring, her final seam is handstitched to create a tight, snug fit on the torso.

Care Information TOP

You may want to treat the fabric with a product such as Scotchguard and a wipe with a clean, dry duster will keep her dust free.

Can the mannequins take pins? TOP

Yes, as the torso is made of condensed polystyrene, all fabric covered parts of the mannequin can be pinned into.
