Vintage Antique Wasp Waist 'Au Printemps' Paris Mannequin

This stunning wasp waist mannequin dates to around 1870 and is from the famous Paris store 'Au Printemps.' As the store was founded in 1865, this must have been one of the first mannequins to be displayed there - what a piece of history she is! She is in remarkable condition considering her great age and such a wonderful fugure. She has some water marks and some damage to the fabric on the lower right hand side - all of this is to be expected and in no way detracts from her overall appearance. The stand has evidence of old woodworm, long gone and no longer a problem. The finial and neck cap are replacements and have been hand made to mirror the originals exactly.

height from top of finial to floor: 159 cm (the stand is height adjustable, so she can be made taller than this)
