I adore vintage child mannequins, but they are so hard to come across! I kept this victorian mannequin for some time before bearing to part with her - she sat so beautifully on my sideboard. This mannequin is the inspiration for my vintage style child mannequins. I copied the panelling at the back and tailored the front so the seamwork ended in a point over the tummy. I am very pleased with the results, but of course nothing can compare to the original - the cute curve of the tummy, the beautifully aged fabric and the ebony stand (in perfect miniature to the full size mannequins) Ah well ... better stop now, she found a new home with a lady in the UK who was over the moon with her!
