A beautiful plaster advertising bust from the lingerie makers 'Triumph'. This lovely shop counter top, vintage mannequin torso was so typically 1940s/1950s, with her plaited swept back hair and her All American, girl next door look. She had had some repairs done on her before she got to me - some filling and smoothing, but despite this her beauty still shone through. I especially like the plaster flower on the integrated base - very cute! She was another of my vintage mannequins who went all the way to Australia to find a new home. I wonder if her new owner has fully restored her, or kept her as she is here. Personally, I think perfection is overated! I love to see mannequins with some evidence of their past life - else why choose vintage over new?
